Computer Lab Administration
Alaska Computer Guy's computer lab administration is perfect for clients who allow customers to access the internet through public or semi-public computers such as those provided by coffee shops, libaries, and group-living centers for youth or seniors. Computers configured by Alaska Computer Guy share a high-speed internet connection linked through a residential gateway to create a local area network. This allows users to share common printers and other peripherals such as scanners and copiers. Consistent and preventive computer maintenance extends the life of computers and provides for a more meaningful computing experience for customers. Lab Service Contracts
All Alaska Computer Lab Guy Service Contracts are designed to provide service and support for hardware and software inclusive of peripheral systems (such as printers or fax machines) and local area networks. They include regularly scheduled preventative maintenance visits to monitor, Covered computers will be monitored to make sure they are running current antivirus and/or spyware programs and include security measures or user passwords as appropriate. Occasional overages of the average 1.5 hours of service per computer per month will incur no additional charges, but consistent or excessive overages will be billed at Alaska Computer Guy's standard hourly rate. These contracts are designed specifically to keep computers and equipment running efficiently and to troubleshoot software or hardware problems. User training or education may be added on to enhance these Service Contracts. Service Contract Rate (Per Computer)
Computer Lab Service Contracts which are sold on a “per computer” basis cover all necessary repair and maintenance to keep office or lab computers running in pristine operating condition. The cost of parts and software necessary to make repairs is not included in Contract or Hourly rates and will be billed to the customer. New computers added to an existing Service Contract require a one-time setup fee of $199 and will be billed for the remainder of the first month pro-rated at their regular Service Contract Rate. This setup fee covers on-site computer installation, program configuration, printer/fax installation, local area network setup, and creation of backup or restore images (approximately 4-6 hours per computer).
