Customer Support Questions

Where is your company located?

At last, in 2023, we moved from our south Anchorage location into a new office at 825 E. 8th Ave #4 in downtown Anchorage. Since I am the only technician, please don’t stop by unannounced. There are lots of times I am providing services in the community and I am not available to accept walk-ins. Please call or email to schedule an appointment first to make sure I am not helping someone else off-site.  I can only be in one place at a time.

Do you provide services for businesses?

Yes, we provide services for small and medium-sized businesses as well as home users, however, we are not presently doing in-home work or house calls.

How much do you charge for services?

For most hourly services, an hourly rate of $99 is charged for repairs, and on-site work is subject to a one hour minimum with one-half of round-trip travel time included. We charge a flat fee for many common services such as a complete tune-up, virus removal, or data backup/data recovery services. Please call, text, or contact us to inquire as to what the flat rate currently is.  We usually offer a quote BEFORE work begins so you know what your repairs are going to cost and don’t end up blindsided by an unexpected repair bill.

Can you fix my iPhone, iMac, iPad, MacBook, or other Apple product?

We do not usually provide service on Apple products but in some cases we may be able to provide limited assistance.  If your hard drive isn’t too severely damaged; I can sometimes help with data recovery from a device with a broken screen or one that has a damaged motherboard.  If you are in need of a great deal of support, I recommend you contact someone qualified to work on Apple products in Anchorage or use Apple’s retail store locator to find the nearest official location.

Can you replace the cracked or broken screen on my laptop and how much would it cost?

In most cases we can replace a cracked or a broken screen on your laptop for $250 or so.  Please Contact Us to send a quick description of the problem along with the exact model number of your computer and I will get back to you with a firm estimate of the total replacement cost.  There are too many different types of laptops for me to keep a replacement screen of every type on hand.

Once I order a replacement screen, it usually takes about 7-10 days for your screen to arrive.  I don’t order replacement screens until I have removed the broken one from your computer. Some models use different part numbers and inevitably, if I order without seeing the actual broken screen we end up with a part that doesn’t fit. Please make an appointment and bring me the computer when you’re ready to get started. Unfortunately, touch screens are often more expensive to replace and we are not currently accepting work to replace broken touch screens.

Do you make house calls?

We do not currently provide in-home services or make house calls for residential users. We do provide on-site assistance for businesses.
